Renesas Electronics reported more severe fire damage.
The recent fire of the Japanese company Renesas Electronics, which manufactures microcircuits, caused more damage than previously thought. It is reported that the fire damaged not 11, but 17 installations that are involved in the production of semiconductors.
Note that the incident occurred on March 19 Naka (Japan). Already on March 21, the plant’s management announced that the company would try to restore production within a month. Damage to 11 vehicles was also reported.
Today, according to the announced data, the company is making attempts to purchase equipment, with assistance from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. The amount of damage will be announced in the near future. It should be noted that the fire will further affect the shortage of microcircuits in the automotive segment.
