For the first time, the Ineos Grenadier SUV was shown a year ago. It is the spiritual successor to the classic Land Rover Defender, which was discontinued back in 2016. About 130 Grenadier prototypes have already been built and are being tested in different parts of the world. And now the brand has presented the interior of the future car.
The interior of the new Ineos Grenadier SUV is at least unusual. According to the developers, they drew inspiration in the design of aircraft cabins, ships, and tractors, where functionality is paramount, and design is at the second place. So in the interior of Ineos Grenadier, as stated, “there is everything you need, and nothing more.
On the center console there are large buttons and handles that are installed at a great distance from each other so that they can be conveniently used blindly or with winter gloves. The signatures to them were made large, with a deliberately simple font, easy for human perception.
The ceiling console of Ineos Grenadier is designed in a similar style, and it is on it that the buttons for controlling the off-road arsenal are located. There are also 8 reserve toggle switches, which can be used to control additional equipment. A media system with a touchscreen display (12.3 inches) was not without, but the small screen instead of the instrument cluster is much more surprising.
Ineos Grenadier’s interior is finished with wear-resistant materials, the Recaro front seats have water-repellent fabric upholstery, and there are even floor vents in the floor. However, the manufacturer immediately offered a more expensive leather interior with a carpet on the floor as an option.
The usual hatch or panoramic roof is not provided for Ineos Grenadier, but you can order a pair of compact hatches in the ceiling above the front seats. A sealed box for valuables, which is better not to be left in the luggage compartment, was equipped under the three-seater rear sofa. Acceptance of orders for the new Ineos Grenadier will open in October 2021, with deliveries scheduled for July next year.
