Images of the new Toyota Tundra pickup have appeared on the Pickup Truck Talks portal: most likely, these are slides of a dealer presentation re-captured on a smartphone.
In the presented images, the Toyota Tundra pickup is captured in the extreme version of the TRD Pro. These pictures are consistent with the official teasers that were circulated by the automaker earlier: the pickups have the same shape of the head optics, as well as the location of additional LED inserts on the grille and front bumper.
As in the official video, this Tundra comes with orange side lights. In the United States, these signals are mandatory for cars of certain sizes, and based on these facts, The Drive concluded that the width of the novelty will exceed 80 inches (2032 mm). Thus, with the change of generations, the Toyota Tundra will become larger.
The specifications of the new Toyota Tundra have yet to be made public: it will happen later this year. According to the basic version, the novelty will be built on the platform of the Land Cruiser 300 SUV and equipped with the same engines. This means that the Toyota Tundra will retain the frame, but it will become lighter and lose 8-cylinder units, instead of receiving turbocharged “six” and a 10-band automatic transmission. The TRD Pro version can be equipped with a V8 engine: according to one version, a new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine with an output of up to 600 hp is being prepared for this version.
