New Roewe MPV iMax8 combines style, borrowed from the crossover RX5 Plus, as well as a number of elements of the conceptual iM8. So, the novelty has led headlamps, revised logo, an impressive grille with simplified front bumper and 18-inch wheels.
It should be noted, in the line of Roewe has not previously had minivans, but the Maxus brand, also owned by SAIC group, produces three models in this segment: G10, G20, G50. Presumably, this car was inspired by the brand at the launch of the new model.
According to preliminary information Roewe iMax8 will receive 6-, 7 – and 8-seater configuration, and its output to the Chinese market to be held this fall. In the best traditions of the MPV segment, the novelty will receive a sliding door in the back.
The official premiere of the novelty will take place on 24 July and the presentation of the representatives of the company should declassify technical characteristics of the model. The debut will take place in the framework of the auto show in Chengdu. It is expected that the van will receive both hybrid and all-electric modification.
