The recently launched program Green NCAP has published a new ranking of environmental performance of vehicles. In trials involving electric Nissan Leaf, Audi A4 Avant g-tron methane, Opel Corsa petrol and diesel Renault Scenic and Mercedes-Benz C200 d 4Matic. The last result was unexpected.
The Green NCAP program was launched this spring under the auspices of the Association Euro NCAP in crash tests of new models. The task of specialists is to ensure that the results of a series of test to evaluate on a 10 points scale clean exhaust of vehicles and their energy efficiency. The final grade is given on a five star system.
The highest score in the sustainability of the expected received electric Nissan Leaf. In those same 10 points have been evaluated and clean exhaust Mercedes-Benz C200 d 4Matic with a diesel engine. The experts noted that this result was achieved thanks to the efficient cleaning system.
For energy efficiency and Leaf C200 got 8.5 and 5.3 points, and the total assessment amounted to five and three stars, respectively. Audi A4 Avant g-tron earned an 8.7 and 4.7 points (three stars), Renault Scenic – 8.6 and 5.9 score (three stars), and Opel Corsa of the previous generation of 9.0 and 6.0 points (four stars).
