Ford tweeted a short video teaser of the crossover Puma in the “hot” version of ST. In the video several people who participated in the creation of the model, represent the sound of the engine and the squeal of tires during acceleration.
The footage of the American brand has revealed some details of the interior and exterior: steering wheel covered in perforated leather and like the Fiesta ST related, the engine start button, headlights with led strips and the grille.
“So it sounds something exciting in the performance of the people who helped make it,” reads the description of the video from Ford.
Appearance sport Puma it is not a secret – back in February it was revealed on spy photos.
It is expected that the hatchback Fiesta ST crossover will get a 1.5 liter of “turbotron” EcoBoost rated at 200 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Puma will get front-wheel drive with optional limited slip differential Quaife.
According to preliminary data, the acceleration from standstill to first “hundred” crossover sport will spend less than seven seconds. Maximum speed is about 220 kilometers per hour.
The Assembly Puma ST will establish a factory in the Romanian city of Craiova, where Ford produces the standard Puma and the EcoBoost engines. To modernize the Assembly lines for Puma, the company spent 200 million euros, and the total investment in the company reach 1.5 billion euros.
