At the Gooding auction, which will take place in August in the American Pebble Beach, a unique copy of the 1995 McLaren F1 will be put up for sale.
The McLaren F1 coupe traveled only 387 km and almost never appeared in public, but the color of its body makes this instance unique. The auction house does not name the expected price, but Motor1 expects it to exceed $ 15 million.
McLaren F1 supercar with chassis number 029 became the 25th out of the entire assembled batch of 65 cars for public roads. This is the only McLaren F1 to feature the distinctive Creighton Brown exterior color (named after a senior executive) and has a leather interior in a combination of light and dark brown shades.
The McLaren F1 coupe was built for a collector’s customer from Japan, but eventually the car was transported to the USA. Auctioneers claim that the supercar is in exceptionally good condition: for example, it is still “shod” in the original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The fact is that according to the auction house, this McLaren F1 with the most modest mileage among all existing such models ever put up for sale.
In addition to the car itself, the seller will also get a whole set of branded accessories. These include, for example, a set of wrenches made of gold-plated titanium, a toolbox, a set of original bags and suitcases, and a commemorative chronometer from TAG Heuer.
