The all-new Genesis GV60 was unveiled by the South Korean automaker during an online event on September 29. In which markets the new electric car will be sold is still kept secret.
Like the KIA EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5, the new GV60 electrocross is based on the Hyundai Group’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The drive can be rear or full, but the battery is one – 77.4 kWh. In the base, the electric car receives one 225-horsepower electric motor, and the standard all-wheel drive version has in its arsenal a twin-engine power plant with a total output of 313 hp.
At the top of the range is a 429-horsepower electric car. The power reserve varies from 386 to 400 km. The highest performing Genesis GV60 will go from 0-100 km / h in 4 seconds. The novelty will also receive a special drift mode.
The GV60 is the first model from Genesis to feature a new electric Active Sound Design (e-ASD) system that simulates the sounds of a car in motion. Also, the electric car is equipped with a “smart” suspension with electronic control Preview, which uses information received from the front camera and navigation system to recognize “speed bumps”, etc.
The electric car supports fast charging technology, so it can be recharged up to 80% in just 18 minutes.
The car can also be used as a mobile power source. The cabin contains many features unique to the Genesis GV60. It is a next-generation multimedia that seamlessly integrates content on the infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster and head-up display, as well as a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
The latest Face Connect system is also announced, which allows the car to recognize the driver’s face in order to lock or unlock the doors. The body of the electric crossover can be painted in one of 11 shades, four of which are new. These are Sao Paulo Lime, Hanauma Mint, Atacama Copper and Atacama Copper Matte.
And also a luxurious electric car with a wheelbase of 2.9 meters gets a rich list of driving assistants. From Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring to Intelligent Parking Assist. Genesis has yet to announce when the GV60 will hit certain markets or how much it will cost.
