French premium car maker DS Automobiles will launch 4 new electric crossovers, largus.fr reported.
The second generation of the DS 7 Crossback is likely to hit the scene first. His debut may take place in 2025. The car will be based on the STLA Medium architecture, which will form the basis of the Peugeot e-3008, which is scheduled for release in 2023. For this variation of the STLA platform, batteries with a capacity of 87 to 118 kWh and electric motors with a capacity of 170 to 245 hp are designed. According to preliminary data, the electric DS 7 will be able to travel about 550 kilometers on a single charge.
In addition, two mysterious projects are being prepared. The first is the in-house designation DS P85, which is a coupe-like crossover inspired by the DS Aero Sport Lounge concept. Some media outlets believe that it will be just a contested version of DS 7.
The second crossover under development is called DS P95. So far, there are no special details about it, but it is known that it will be a seven-seater and should compete with the Volkswagen ID.6.
The fourth confirmed electric crossover will be the successor to the current compact DS3 Crossback E-Tense, slated for release in 2026. It is foreshadowed by the younger STLA Small architecture and the 95-horsepower engine as standard. No further technical details have been announced, however, it is known that the platform will support batteries with a capacity of 37 to 82 kWh.
