The German company Weekend Heroes, which provides services for the search, evaluation and sale of classic cars, is ready to part with a well-preserved 1975 Porsche 911 Turbo for 260 thousand euros. The coupe belongs to the first homologation series of 400 cars, and therefore is equipped with a 930/50 engine. The car has not been restored, and its odometer shows 72 thousand kilometers.

Development of a turbocharged version of the Porsche 911 began in 1972. The company planned to produce 400 cars for homologation of the racing 934, but in the first three years alone, the circulation exceeded 2,800 copies. At the time of its premiere in 1974, the 930 Turbo was the fastest German car: the coupe took 5.2 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h, and its maximum speed was 250 kilometers per hour. At the same time, the 930 was very willful and made extremely high demands on the experience and skills of the driver.

The heart of the sports car is a three-liter boxer from the Carrera RS 3.0, coupled with a four-speed “mechanics”. The engine was reinforced where possible and equipped with a single KKK 3 LDZ turbocharger. At its peak, the unit developed 260 horsepower and 343 Nm of torque, and the entire traction avalanche was available already at 4000 rpm. And to cope with it, the 930 Turbo had to recalibrate the suspension, install wider rear wheels and a spoiler-air intake.

Nevertheless, this did not save it from sores: the 930 Turbo suffered from oversteer and noticeable turbo lag, so only trained drivers could fully appreciate it. The unit for sale is the 303rd in a series of 400 homologation machines. For all the time, he drove 72 thousand kilometers and was preserved in a completely original form – only the paintwork needed to be updated. All mechanical components were serviced in a timely manner, which means that they do not need any repairs.

Together with the car, the seller will give a package of documents confirming its history, but for all this you will have to pay a considerable amount: 260 thousand euros. Compared to the current 911 Turbo (992), prices in Ukraine start at $ 290,300.
