The European Union’s intellectual property office (EUIPO) has registered Daimler’s patents for indexes of future Mercedes-AMG electric cars.
It is known that the new Mercedes-Benz model called EQE will be an analog of the e-class sedan, built on a purely “electric” platform of Electric Vehicle Architecture (EVA). Now it turned out that the novelty will also receive a line of “charged” versions, since Daimler has already patented indexes for electric Mercedes-AMG: the intellectual property Office of the European Union issued the rights of the concern to the trademarks EQE 43, EQE 53 and EQE 63. It is too early to talk about the power indicators, but according to rumors, it can reach 1000 horsepower.
It is no secret that the entire model Mercedes-AMG will turn into plug-in hybrids even before the appearance of electric cars in it: “charged” models will receive the EQ Power+ unit, which will increase the power of power plants and allow driving on electric traction up to an average of 50 kilometers. The third-generation PHEV system is a 122-horsepower electric motor and the same battery as the plug-in hybrids of the C-Class, E-Class and S-Class of the EQ Power family. The differences are in the settings: AMG will focus on dynamic performance, not fuel economy.
