Honda introduced the characteristics of its first electric model Honda e built on a special electric mobility platform.
According to a press release, the battery is located under the floor of the electric vehicle in the center of the wheelbase of the car, providing a weight distribution of 50:50 and low centre of gravity for optimum handling and stability. The car has rear-wheel drive, and independent suspension is designed to provide exceptional stability, ride and handling in all conditions. Suspension parts made of forged aluminium, to reduce weight and increase performance and efficiency.
E Honda electric car uses a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 35.5 kWh, water-cooled and high charge constant current up to 80% capacity in 30 minutes (CCS Combo 2). The power reserve of an electric vehicle is over 200 km. the Charging port of the car has a built in hood, has an led light to show charging status of the battery and provides easy access from the front of the car or from either side.
E Honda is a key element of the programme of electrification of the brand under which the company agrees to sell in Europe 100% electrified vehicles by 2025.
