Nissan Motor has announced a pricing for the base Ariya electric crossover for the Japanese domestic market. As a reminder, the car in this country has been available for order since June 2021, but until now it was offered only in a special Limited version.
Basic equipment is offered only for the mono-drive version of the model – with one motor, rear drive wheels and a standard 66 kWh battery (referred to as B6).
Airya 2WD B6 has a 160 kW (218 hp) motor and 300 Nm of torque. The power reserve on a single charge is 450 km, the maximum speed is limited to 160 km / h.
In a simplified configuration, the Ariya 2WD B6 costs 5.39 million yen (about $ 47,300 at the current exchange rate), that is, relative to a similar modification, but in the Limited version the car is 1.2 million yen cheaper (almost $ 10,500), or 18%.
The basic equipment is deprived of those positions that Limited has: instead of black and gold rims, there are dark gray ones, trim materials are simplified, there is no luxurious floor covering, the roof is ordinary (and not panoramic), there is no ProPilot 2.0 semi-autopilot, and a less expensive system is used instead of the Bose premium 10-speaker audio system.
Ariya in Japan can be purchased not only internally from a dealer, but also via the Internet. Delivery of the machines to customers in the Limited version is scheduled for the end of January 2022, with standard equipment in March 2022.
Recall that in addition to the 2WD B6 version, the Ariya Limited range includes 2WD B9 (178 kW / 242 HP motor + 91 kW / h battery), 4WD B6 (250 kW / 340 HP + 66 kW / h) and 4WD B9 (290 kW / 394 hp + 91 kW / h). The maximum speed of all-wheel drive Ariya is higher – 200 km / h.
According to Nissan, in June-November 2021, the Japanese have already ordered 6,800 copies of the Ariya.
