We’ve already seen something like this somewhere – both the silhouette and technical solutions … It’s the Kymco F9 electric scooter!
But let’s not rush to accusations of plagiarism: Felo partnered with Kymco in the development of the new F9 electric scooter. Now Felo is preparing to start selling its device in the domestic Chinese market, while Kymco plans to sell the F9 primarily in Europe.
Technically, the devices are almost identical. Felo FW06 is powered by a 10kW electric motor, but its main feature is the two-speed gearbox, already familiar from the Kymco F9. In fact, it is a gearbox located on the rear wheel with two gear ratios. In a city where top speed is less important, you can select the “grassroots” setting, which will provide the electric scooter with better acceleration dynamics. On the track, it just shifts to a higher gear ratio to provide the scooter with a higher top speed. In addition to the dynamics, changing the gear ratio also affects the rate of battery consumption, and also reduces the heating of the electric motor and its wear.
Felo offers the FW06 in two versions: standard and DX. The basic version is equipped with an 80 Ah lithium-ion battery, which, according to the manufacturer, provides a range of about 110 km. The DX version is equipped with an 88 Ah battery, providing a range of up to 140 km.
The price of Felo FW06 in the Chinese market is 26,800 yuan, which is equivalent to about $ 4,200 at the current exchange rate. But we are now interested in one more thing: if the FW06 was launched into mass production, then how soon can we expect the FW-03 Y-trike from Felo? It’s just cosmic!
