The Opel brand has revealed new indicators of the range of electric versions of the Mokka crossover and the Opel Corsa hatchback. The additional kilometers are the result of a modest technical update.
According to Insideevs, Opel engineers have optimized heating and air conditioning systems, and also set a new algorithm for the powertrain.
As a result, the electrified Corsa hatchback will travel 359 kilometers without recharging, which is 23 kilometers better than the previous result. Mokka increased its range from 325 kilometers to 338 kilometers.
Both Opel models now boast a more efficient heat pump that uses less energy to maintain the desired temperature.
Also in the arsenal of models now there is a new gearbox and special tires with low rolling resistance.
Recall that by 2024 the German automaker wants to electrify each of its models.
And Opel plans to become an all-electric brand in Europe by 2028. The closest electric novelty is a battery-powered crossover named Manta.
