Electric Porsche Macan broke down during tests

A new portion of the photos of the Porsche Macan EV appeared on the web under very funny circumstances. The fact is that the crossover broke down during testing. Of course, the spies couldn’t miss this.

Now you can get to know the car a little closer. Even through the disguise, you can see that the exterior of the Macan EV has changed more than a lot. And if the front end resembles a bloated Taycan, then the stern is more similar to Mercedes’ coupe-like SUVs. Another interesting detail is frameless doors: the doors of the current “Makan” have frames for glass.

However, we must not forget that the existing prototypes do not reflect the final appearance of the car, which will go into production. Apparently, some details will still change, and the dummies of the exhaust pipes are generally purely camouflage elements that will certainly not be transferred to the production model.

The electric Macan will be built on the new PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture, which will also form the basis of another crossover from the German concern, the Audi Q6 e-Tron. In fact, this is a premium analogue of the existing MEB used in cheaper VAG cars, but which can be equipped with expensive “chips”. For example, a steering axle or air suspension.

As a reminder, the company recently showed a virtual racing Porsche Vision Gran Turismo for the Gran Turismo console game. The electric supercar was designed in compliance with all engineering requirements: theoretically, such a car could exist in real life, but this particular model is a gaming exclusive. The technical characteristics have not yet been disclosed. The game will be available for sale on March 4, 2022. In the same year, the Macan EV will also debut – and earlier than the soplatform Audi Q6 e-Tron.
