Everything happens for the first time: Brabus released a motorcycle

Atelier Brabus presented its first motorcycle. It is based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO road bike, and is called the Brabus 1300 R. A total of 154 of these streetfighters are planned to be produced, with one half of the edition painted in Magma Red, the other in Singnature Black. The motorcycle received a special exhaust with a double muffler, carbon fiber body kit parts, adaptive shock absorbers and a quickshifter that allows you to shift gears without depressing the clutch and releasing the gas.

In technical terms, the Brabus 1300 R is still the same KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO, which, due to the round LED headlight and new fairings, has become similar to the Honda CB1000R. The engine is a stock 1301cc V-Twin with 180 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque, paired with a Pankl gearbox. Acceleration to 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour) on the motorcycle takes 3.2 seconds, and the maximum speed is 270 kilometers per hour.

In essence, the 1300 R differs from the original only in new parts and a body kit. For example, the side air vents, chain guard, alternator trim and steel gas tank shroud are made from carbon fiber, while the adjustable footpegs (12 positions), clutch and brake handles are CNC machined from aluminium.

Like the regular KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO, the Brabus streetfighter is equipped with WP APEX adaptive suspension, which allows you to adjust the damper stiffness (five preset profiles plus automatic) and spring preload (three levels). Also on the motorcycle is a WP APEX PRO 7117 steering damper and a ride mode selection system with Rain, Street, Sport, Track and Performance presets.

The list of electronic assistants includes traction control, the Motor Slip Regulation system, which reduces the likelihood of the rear wheel locking when shifting to a lower gear or when the gas is abruptly closed, a quickshifter and a Bosch 9.1MP 2.0 ABS unit (corner ABS + Supermoto ABS with the ability to deactivate anti-lock braking system on the rear wheel).

Wheels are 17″ Brabus Monoblock Z tires with Bridgestone Battlax S22 tires. Braking is handled by Brembo gears with four-piston Stylema aluminum calipers at the front and floating two-piston calipers at the rear, while comfort comes from a heated seat.
