The Ghibli sedan and Levante SUV are presented at the Shanghai Auto Show in the new F Tributo Special Edition, dedicated to Maserati’s racing debut 95 years ago. Externally, the special editions are distinguished by red and blue colors, yellow edging of Anteo and Titano rims with a diameter of 21 inches, yellow brake calipers, glossy black F Tributo badges on the front fenders and a logo with a trident in body color on the rear pillars. Apparently, the series is not only addressed to China.
Body colors are considered exclusive. The red Rosso Tributo is a reference to Maserati’s glorious past in Italian motorsport. The bright blue Azzurro Tributo indicates the historic home of the brand, being one of the two colors of the Modena flag (the other is yellow). The series name resonates with the Ferrari F8 Tributo.
The salons are simply finished in black Pieno Fiore leather with red or yellow stitching. The whole simple styling package reminds: on April 25, 1926, Alfieri Maserati, driving a Tipo 26 sports car, finished first in the Targa Florio race (the company is silent about the ninth place in the overall standings).
Prices for the F Tributo package have not been released. Ghibli in China “starts” from 729,200 yuan ($ 11,200), Levante – from 899,800 ($ 138,500). According to the China Dealers Association (CADA), 2020 was a tough year for all Italian supercars: Maserati sales fell 34% (to about 4,800 units), Ferrari 49% (293), Lamborghini 19.4% (604). Davide Grasso, head of Maserati in the Stellantis Group, said at Auto Shanghai:
“The Shanghai Auto Show marks a full recovery from a severe epidemic. A new chapter has opened and we are confident in the future. ”
