Tuatara supercar company SSC North America – real unfinished: his original concept was shown in 2011. Nine years later the first of 100 planned production of commodity machines to demonstrate at the auto show in Philadelphia.
Named in honor of relict lizards of new Zealand “Tuatara” – the work of Jason Castriota, in the past worked with Ferrari, Maserati and Saab. Coupe features a 5.9-liter V8 that generates 1350 HP on gasoline and 1750 HP on E85 blend. The whole thrust is transmitted to the rear axle via a seven-speed robot. “Dry” vehicle weight – 1247 kg, the drag coefficient – 0,279. The interior of the supercar is not Spartan: it has a multimedia system with touch screen, climate control, premium acoustics.
Prior to the “Tuatara” supercar SSC Ultimate Aero held the world speed record, which is then passed to the Bugatti Veyron SS, Koenigsegg Agera RS, and finally to the Bugatti Chiron SS 300+. Most likely, with the new model firm of Jerod Shelby will try to re-ascend to the championship podium.
