The next generation Skoda Fabia will be sold, among other things, in the form of a Combi station wagon. The newcomer will join the family of popular Czech compacts during the new year.
Skoda is working on a new generation of Fabia. To date, the technical characteristics, debut date and prices of the new Fabia are shrouded in mystery, as until now the compact hatchback has only been seen disguised as a Volkswagen Polo. However, technically it is quite obvious what to expect from it, because it shares the basis with the already mentioned Volkswagen.
One of the most important uncertainties was whether the Fabia Combi variant would return to service. Now everything has become known: Skoda CEO Thomas Schaefer confirmed on his LinkedIn page that this will indeed happen. And on arrival, the new Fabia Combi will become a real monopoly, as it will completely “capture” the b-segment of station wagons.
The last remaining competitors are the Renault Clio Estate and Logan MCV. Clio has already withdrawn from some markets, and Logan MCV will end its existence with the arrival of the new Sandero and Logan. The Peugeot 207 SW and SEAT Ibiza ST actively participated in this “game”. But, according to Skoda CEO Schaefer, the choice in favor of the Fabia Combi is obvious.
