This Wednesday, April 28, Ford will open orders for two older versions of its electric crossover, the Mustang Mach-E GT and Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition. They were declassified a long time ago, but now the prices have been announced.
The GT model will cost $ 59,900 – $ 17,005 more than the base Mach-E. The twin-engine power plant of such an electric vehicle develops 487 hp. and 814 Nm, acceleration to 60 mph (97 km / h) takes 3.8 seconds, range is estimated according to EPA methodology at 250 miles (402 kilometers).
Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition will start at $ 64,900. It has the same power, but the torque is increased to 860 Nm, and up to 97 km / h, such a crossover accelerates 0.3 seconds faster. At the same time, the range on a single charge will be more modest – 235 miles (378 kilometers).
Both have a special bezel with illuminated logo, 20-inch wheels with red brake calipers, sports front seats, multi-color ambient lighting, a Bang & Olufsen audio system with nine speakers and a subwoofer. In addition to the three driving modes that the standard Mustang Mach-E has, the GT versions get another one, the track Unbridled Extend. The Performance Edition also features MagneRide adaptive suspension.
Available body colors include the exclusive Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, as well as Grabber Blue Metallic, previously only available on the First Edition. Among the fundamentally new options is the “autopilot” BlueCruise, which works in conjunction with the proprietary complex Ford Co-Pilot360. On selected sections of North American highways, which the automaker defines as Hands-Free Blue Zones, this system will allow you to take your hands off the wheel.
It was previously reported that deliveries of the Mustang Mach-E GT and Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition will begin this summer, but have now been pushed back to early fall.
