Fastest on the track: Tesla Model S’s new record

The American electric car already held the record for this track: two years ago, the pre-production version of Plaid passed it in 1 minute 36.55 seconds. However, later, the prototype of the Lucid Air Dream Edition showed 1: 31.3, and a new variation of the “eski” with the same name Plaid completed the track in 1: 30.3.

Apparently, Elon Musk is not going to stop there: according to rumors, now the time is 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Pay attention to the spoiler: it is retractable to increase downforce when cornering, but not create unnecessary drag on a straight line.

Recall that the updated Tesla Model S debuted at the beginning of this year, but deliveries have not yet started. The Plaid version is powered by three electric motors, and the Plaid + with extended range is expected in a year.

The manufacturer promises acceleration to 60 mph (97 km / h) in less than 2 seconds, but not everyone believes in these figures.
