Ferrari has already sold out all the new “Icons”

All planned Ferrari Daytona SP3 supercars have already been sold out on pre-orders. This is reported by Automotive News Europe with reference to the Italian brand’s marketing director Enrico Gallieru.

The series will be limited to 599 units, which is 100 pieces more than the combined circulation of the Monza SP1 and Monza SP2, which, like the Daytona SP3, belong to the Icona line. Interestingly, each of the owners of a single or double Monza wished to purchase a Dayton too. Another hundred have been reserved by “select Ferrari collectors”, with all deals concluded prior to the targa’s public debut last Saturday.

At least 2 million euros were paid for each copy: Galliera confirmed in a conversation with reporters that Ikons have much higher margins than conventional production Ferraris, but refused to go into details.

The body design of the Daytona SP3 is inspired by 1960s racing Ferraris, with a 6.5-liter aspirated V12 from the current 812 Competizione behind the seats, boosted with 830 hp. and 692 Nm to 840 hp. and 697 Nm. Both modern models – front and mid-engined – gain the first hundred in 2.85 seconds and can accelerate faster than 340 km / h.

The above-mentioned “Monza” debuted in the fall of 2018, but their deliveries will be completed only by the end of this year. The first Ferrari Daytona SP3s will reach customers in the last quarter of 2022, and all 599 cars will be ready by the end of 2024.
