The Italian automaker has announced its first environmentally neutral model in 2025.
Italian Ferrari will show its first all-electric car in 4 years amid the industry’s accelerating transition to electrification. According to the head of the brand, John Elkann, the brand has entered the “home stretch” in the creation of its electric novelty, although it was previously stated that such a model will appear only “after 2025”.
“We are very excited about our first all-electric Ferrari, which we plan to introduce in 2025. We continue to implement our electrification strategy in a very disciplined manner, ”said Elkann.
Also at the shareholders’ meeting, the top manager said that the interpretation of electrification technologies in motorsport and road cars “provides a great opportunity to convey the uniqueness and passion of Ferrari to new generations.
Note that Ferrari has become one of the last brands to start electrifying their cars. So, the brand only presented its hybrid SF90 Stradale in 2019. At the same time, a statement was made about the intention to reach a level of 60% of the total sales, which would have accounted for hybrid models by 2022.
Let us remind you that Ferrari is currently preparing another surprise for the brand’s fans – a new version of the Ferrari 812 supercar. It should be noted that there is no official data on the new product – even its name is not known. Experts are at a loss – what will the new model be called, maybe a GTO or even a Daytona?
By the way, information about the date of the premiere is also not confirmed – the corresponding assumption was put forward by the historian of Ferrari Marcel Massini, who said that on April 21 the company will show the car to a select circle of people, and on May 5 it will organize a world premiere.
