In December last year, the companies of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the PSA Group announced the merger, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2021. In the meantime, the partners announced the name of the new Alliance Stellantis.

Exactly what the name will receive one of the largest players in the automotive market, which will be the Union of the FCA (FIAT-Chrysler) and Groupe PSA (Peugeot-Citroen). “Stellantis” comes from Latin and means “illuminated star” that reflects the spirit of a new and ambitious project of two legendary automotive brands.

The new name will wear the ultimate holding company of the combined group, which will be placed in the Netherlands. And logo Stellantis is the spelling of the name a stylized font. It is important to understand that the name and logo shall only be used in corporate documents, media projects, etc. the name on the machines we will not see them. Furthermore, the establishment of the new brand will not affect existing names of the two corporations and their affiliated brands.

The American headquarters of the concern will be located in the existing FCA office in Auburn Hills (Michigan).

The Alliance will exist on terms of sharing 50:50. Stellantis predict the fourth place among the world’s automakers in terms of production.
