According to the BMW Blog, an image of a “charged” BMW i4 M50 sedan appeared on the Internet for the first time – however, after that the picture was quickly deleted. The photo showed an electric car in matte blue with the M-branded logo on one of the nostrils and some typical exterior elements from the M Sport range – including a more aggressive front bumper with large air intakes and wide black side skirts. The i4 M50 also received new black rims. The powerful version of the electric sedan is rumored to be equipped with four-wheel drive, adaptive dampers and more powerful brakes.
Insiders claim that the power plant of the high-performance modification i4 M50 will be more than 500 horsepower, and acceleration from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour will take about four seconds. The rechargeable battery will provide the electric sedan with a range of about 590 kilometers on a single charge in the WLTP cycle. The maximum speed, like that of the iX crossover, will be limited to 200 kilometers per hour. The presentation of the BMW i4 M50 is due on June 1 this year, and with it two more new versions of the electric four will debut: the rear-wheel drive i4 eDrive35 and i4 eDrive40.
