The new Renault Megane e-Tech electric 2022 has almost become a reality. The next-generation electric crossover has been presented in a special camouflage pattern in teaser images revealing its main features ahead of its world debut, scheduled for the end of the year.
Just a few weeks ago, the French brand unveiled several previews of the refined interior of the new Renault Megane e-Tech electric, which reaches its new EV lineup. Now it’s time for the exterior, which is presented in the new teasers.
The new Renault Megane e-Tech electric is wearing a special camouflage pattern that repeats the new Renault emblem, with which the brand will go through the last stage of testing with 30 pre-production prototypes. But the most interesting thing is the design, modeled on the Renault Megane eVision concept car. A new style that interprets some of the details with more modernity.
The new Megane e-Tech electric is equipped with attractive, extremely slim LED headlights that merge into the grille and connect to the light block on the opposite side. The French brand has retained its distinctive fangs, now with a more sinuous shape running along the ends of the bumper. The bumper is equipped with vertical air intakes for ventilation of the front brakes and a large one at the bottom.
The brand’s stylists have also replaced the classic door handles at the front with integrated ones, while the rear ones are installed in a fixed rear window that occupies part of the C-pillar. By the way, note the sloping roofline that mimics the look of a coupe. The taillights are distinguished by a very slim and elegant design. The new model has a charging port on the front right side.
The new Megane e is the first model in a new line of electric vehicles based on the CMF-eV platform, equipped with an electric motor with a maximum output of 160 kW, equivalent to 217 hp, and an installed lithium-ion battery between the axles with a capacity of 60 kWh. The power reserve of the model will be up to 450 kilometers.
