Apple supplier Foxconn will help Fisker achieve its ambitious goal of producing over 250,000 electric vehicles annually.
The electric car manufacturer has set this goal for itself since 2023. The future production alliance of the two companies already has a name – Project PEAR (the abbreviation stands for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution). This initiative will affect a wide variety of regional markets – from Europe and North America to China and India.
For Foxconn, which is often referred to as a supplier of components for smartphones, the experience of interacting with automakers is not new. For example, the company cooperates with the “celestial” manufacturer of battery cars Byton, a division of Fiat Chrysler Stellantis NV, etc. Foxconn plans to make its components present in 10% of electric cars on the global market. The company intends to achieve this indicator by 2025-2027.
According to Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker, an agreement with Foxconn could be reached as early as the second quarter of this year. The deal is designed for seven years.
As for the future electric car, it will receive a futuristic design and an attractive price tag. Fisker promises to bring something completely new to the market.
