The auction will be held on August 13th. Bonhams estimates the price will be between $ 150,000 and $ 250,000.
Here is the 1992 Airstream Model 34 Limited Excella. It belongs to Tom Hanks – over the past 24 years, the famous Hollywood actor has traveled all over the United States on it (it served as his home during filming). The trailer is sold with all the furniture and personal belongings of the movie star, but first things first.
From the outside, the trailer looks like a typical Airstream, but there are a number of commemorative stickers that the actor bought in various places in the country, namely, where films with his participation were filmed, from 1993 “Sleepless in Seattle” to the filming of “The Sphere” in 2017.
The lot description says that Hanks ordered a unique interior design for the trailer, which even has a fireplace. There is also air conditioning, several beds, a kitchen, a bathroom, a dining table with chairs and wardrobes with memorabilia for the actor.
The new owner will also receive a favorite coffee maker and a mug from the movie “Apollo 13”, signed by Hanks and other actors: Gary Sinise, Bill Paxton and Kevin Bacon. The seller’s autograph is also on the cabinet next to the door.
Bidding will be held by the auction house Bonhams on August 13th. According to experts, the final price will range from $ 150,000 to $ 250,000.
