While there has been a radical shift towards electrification among the world’s largest car manufacturers in the past 18 months, it has also led to a new and exciting era in the leisure industry. Take Emilia GT Veloce for example.
The car is a modern interpretation of the iconic Alfa Romeo Giulia GT, created by German classic and sports car specialist Emilia Auto and development partner VELA Performance. Shown here through a series of detailed renders, the Emilia GT Veloce will be officially unveiled in the second quarter of 2022 in just 22 units worldwide, each costing approximately € 400,000.
The GT Veloce is powered by the same twin-turbo 2.9-liter V8 found in the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. This engine will develop over 500 hp. with. and 600 Nm of torque in restomod mode and will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF, which sends power to the rear wheels and can shift gears in just 150 milliseconds.
Emilia Auto hasn’t just installed a new engine and announced it. The underpinnings of the car have been meticulously redesigned to include KW coilovers at all four corners, a universal independent suspension with double wishbones at the front and multi-link rear axle, and adaptive power steering. It also features Brembo brakes and offers state-of-the-art ABS and traction control.
