For the most expensive Aston Martin interior will print on a 3D printer


Aston Martin held at a special event in the American state of Rhode island public premiere of two of the most expensive cars in its history. In the U.S. debut of the modern version of the classic DB4 Zagato sports car and a 770-horsepower supercar GT Zagato DBS. The cost of the machines that you can purchase only a couple amounted to 6 million pounds (7.4 million).

These cars become part of a commemorative collectible line of DBZ Centenary, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Italian bodywork Studio Zagato. The company noted that DBS GT Zagato was the world’s first production car, the interior of which used carbon fiber and metal parts made using 3D printing. Emblem of the supercar is made of 18-carat gold.

Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato is built on the model DBS Superleggera. It is equipped with an upgraded 5.2-liter twin-turbo engine, which returns increased from 725 to 770 horsepower. The engine is paired with eight-speed automatic ZF gearbox.


The dynamic characteristics of the new car is not yet named. Conventional DBS Superleggera is capable of accelerating from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.4 s, and its maximum speed is 340 km per hour.

As for modern replicas of the classic sports car DB4 Zagato 1960-ies, it premiered in the summer of 2019, within the framework of a daily marathon “24 hours of Le Mans.” Sports car body is made of aluminum, processed by hand. The interior is equipped with racing seats with carbon fiber frame covered with skin. The car is equipped with inline six-cylinder engine working volume of 4.7 l, developed by Polish engineer he’s not Marek, known for its motors for classic Astons.

The British company will release on 19 instances and DBS Zagato DB4 GT Zagato. The first cars will reach buyers before the end of this year.
