Ford Motor does not exclude the possibility that the Bronco SUV, which is in high demand in the US, will appear in Europe. The publication Autoexpress.co.uk with reference to the head of the brand Jim Farley reports that the model “will definitely find its buyer in European countries and will be able to compete with the Land Rover Defender.” According to Farley, the final decision on the supply of Bronco should be made by the European division of Ford.
The production of Ford Bronco was launched only in the middle of this summer, although it was originally planned to put the model on the assembly line in early May – the delay was due to interruptions in the supply of components. This, as well as the increased interest in the revived Bronco on the part of American customers, has led to queues: first, cars are shipped to those who managed to pre-order last year, and buyers who left an application just now will have to wait for SUVs at least for the beginning of 2022. .
In the US, the Bronco is presented with a 2.3-liter inline four-cylinder turbo engine paired with a 10-speed automatic or “manual” or with a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6, which is combined only with an automatic transmission. Prices for the model start at $ 29,995 for the two-door and $ 34,695 for the four-door.
The fact that the revived Ford Bronco is waiting for success in the market became clear immediately after the premiere: in the first hours after the presentation, the company’s website collapsed under the onslaught of those wishing to apply for the purchase of the car.
Later it turned out that a batch of 3.5 thousand copies of the limited edition Bronco First Edition was sold out immediately, and the automaker even had to double the volume of production. But this was not enough for long: all 7,000 First Edition SUVs were booked within a few days.
