Ford doesn’t believe in robots

Robotic technology will not be able to completely replace human labor when assembling cars. This opinion was expressed by the head of production and labor relations at Ford, Gary Johnson, in an interview. According to him, the human presence is necessary at least to check smart cars.

I think that we will always need a person because there is a job that only he can do: for example, get in the car and configure certain parameters from the inside. It is obvious that we want to improve the safety indicators during the car Assembly process and at the same time improve the quality of the final product and for this we will always need people – Johnson said.
