Ford continues to fuel interest in the next-generation Ranger pickup, which will debut in 2022. This time, the brand published a short video showing a car covered in light camouflage camouflage. Despite the fact that the manufacturer still does not disclose the design of the future novelty, the presented frames provide an opportunity to consider some elements of the truck’s exterior.
In the new video, Ranger is covered with a masking film that has a QR code applied to it. By pointing the camera at the object, you can go to the official website of the company, where photos of the future pickup are published. Judging by the pictures, the updated car will receive a different design of the rear LED lights, as well as a redesigned tailgate, in which engineers have placed a recess to reduce the likelihood of serious damage to the body in the event of a collision with a trailer.
Among other changes to the pickup, it is worth noting a new plastic body kit, large arches, as well as wheels of a different design and an antenna made in the style of “shark fin”. Inside, the new items will have a 12-inch digital dashboard, as well as a new touchscreen with portrait orientation, the diagonal of which reaches 15.5 inches.
It is expected that the Ranger’s engine range will include two-liter diesel engines, as well as a hybrid power plant based on a 2.3-liter “turbo four”. The total output of such a system will be about 362 horsepower. In addition, the pickup is equipped with the latest active and passive safety technologies. The new generation Ford Ranger will premiere next year.
In early August, the Australian firm H2X Global unveiled the Warrego pickup, based on the Ford Ranger. The main feature of the model is a hydrogen power plant with a capacity of 95 horsepower.
