Ford has set a new world record by organizing the largest parade of Mustang in history. On-site proving ground in Lommel, Belgium managed to collect 1326 sport coupe.
For the recognition of the record of the parade participants had certain times to drive in a convoy with a distance between cars no more than 20 meters. After that, the cars participated in a special “choreography” statement. The previous record of 970 vehicles, was recorded in 2017 in Mexico.
The ground in Lommel has an area of 3.22 square kilometers. The length of the route, simulating various coatings, is 80 kilometers. Here Ford engineers tested the operation of braking systems, steering and suspension.
The Ford Mustang has become the most popular sports car in the world for four consecutive years. For the first half of 2019 in Europe was sold 5500 cars, which is 3.7 percent more than in the same period of 2018. While the largest share is in Belgium.
