Ford agreed with Volkswagen on mass production of electric cars to be created on a modular platform MEB German company. This was announced on Friday, July 12, at a press conference in new York.
The two automakers have reached a final agreement on the establishment of the global Alliance after months of negotiations. Ford uses the architecture of the MEB for a brand new electric model that will be produced for the European market at the plant in Cologne, Germany. Production of new items will begin in 2023.
