Volkswagen is on the verge of serious problems with two key models – the first full electric car ID.3 and a potential bestseller Golf eighth generation. Both models have fixed the problems with the software.
Delivery schedule VW ID.3 has not yet been reviewed, but before sending it to the customer already assembled electrochemi will have to go update the software. But the transmission of VW Golf buyers put the company on pause until the moment of decision problems. The same fate befell to the platform, and Skoda Octavia.
And, according to some, to unravel this tangle to be the current boss of the company Porsche. Edition Auto Motor und Sport reports that the Oliver Blum will leave his post in order to lead the Volkswagen. While Herbert Diess, who now runs the post, these duties will be released, though he will remain Chairman of the Board of VW AG.
In place of the same Oliver Blum tipped Bernard Meyer is now in charge of the Affairs of the Skoda brand. He, incidentally, is no stranger to work at Porsche: in 2001 Meyer took over the position of head of sales in Germany, in 2010, took over responsibility for the sales of Porsche in General and to the ranks of Skoda joined only in 2015.
It is curious that, according to rumors, another victim of the reshuffle may be the current Director of VW marketing chief Johan Sengel: the company is dissatisfied with his approach to the promotion of the new “Golf.”
