The lists of new products that the Volkswagen concern is preparing for 2021 have been published. For example, the Volkswagen brand will present four electric cars, local versions of the Nivus and Tiguan. Skoda is working on an electric Enyaq GT and an updated Fabia, Porsche is working on a restyled Macan and an off-road 911 Safari, and Audi is working on a production Q4 e-tron and a plug-in hybrid Q5. New items of Bentley and Bugatti brands are also mentioned.
The Volkswagen Group Global Conference will be held on March 17 at 12:00 am Kiev time – as part of an online event, the concern promises to share details about new products that will be shown by the end of 2021. In the meantime, the company has released a 371-page report listing all the upcoming debuts of the Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Skoda, Bentley and Bugatti brands. The only brand that is part of the concern, but does not plan large-scale launches this year, is Lamborghini.
Volkswagen has the most extensive plans. The local Tiguan will be launched in the Indian market, and the Nivus model, which is already on sale in Latin America, will be adapted for Europe. In addition, the German brand is preparing a whole scattering of electric cars of the ID line: a cross-coupe ID.5, two modifications of ID.4 and an off-road vehicle ID.6.
Porsche will update the Macan and release an all-eating version of the 911 called Safari. Audi will fully declassify the production Q4 e-tron, built on the MEB architecture, in April, and Skoda will show the GT version of the Enyaq platform. In addition, the Czech brand will localize the Kushaq crossover in India and prepare the new Fabia for the European market.
Bentley’s lineup will be joined by a plug-in hybrid Bentayga and another plug-in model, details of which are not yet available. There are suggestions that we can talk about a hybrid Flying Spur or Continental GT. The plan also mentions a new member of the Bugatti Chiron family. Lamborghini chose to focus on the launch of the Huracan STO.
