The German brand Darc has announced its first project: an off-road motorhome on wheels, which is named Mono. According to the New Atlas edition, the new product will provide an autonomous existence for two adults for 14 days and even allow not to break away from work.
The Darc Mono is based on the Iveco Daily all-wheel drive chassis, with the camper body being designed from scratch. Darc specialists have previously worked not only in large concerns like BMW and Daimler, but also engaged in the creation of sports yachts and Formula 1 cars.
The frame of the Darc Mono living capsule has a length of 420 centimeters, it is made with an eye to the bodies of trucks that participate in protracted rally-raids. Its design makes it possible to equip the camper with panoramic glazing and a transparent roof without loss of rigidity. The length of the skylight can be 210 centimeters.
The interior of the Darc Mono motorhome has a full dining area, a kitchen with everything you need, including a gas grill and a bathroom. The camper even has an office space, which is equipped not only with sockets, but also with a video projector with a 5.1 speaker system. In this case, the double bed during the daytime is under the ceiling of the car, if necessary, it can be lowered.
The autonomy of Darc Mono is provided by solar panels equipped with a battery and an inverter. The camper also boasts a 185-liter drinking water tank and a 190-liter fuel tank. In addition, the Darc Mono version includes a separate heater for the living space and a water heater.
Darc Mono is equipped with a 3.0-liter Iveco diesel engine paired with an all-wheel drive system. The company has improved the chassis of the car with adaptive suspension on KW components, and off-road capabilities thanks to the installation of 37-inch wheels, a 10-ton winch, and a carbon snorkel. The price of Darc camper has not yet been announced. Acceptance of orders for the new product will open in March, and customers will receive the first cars in August.
