Geely KX11: another Volvo-based crossover

The company Geely through the “official spy photos” announced a mid-size SUV KX11, which will be released in 2021. The rookie will be Geely’s third model on the Volvo CMA trolley, which has already formed the basis of the Xingyue (Tugella) coupe and Xingrui (Preface) sedan. Probably, the KX11 will take the post of the flagship three-row crossover, replacing Haoyue (VX11) on the Geely NL platform.

Geely is so proud of the CMA architecture that it put its name on camouflage. Volvo doesn’t have a co-platform crossover of this size, as the XC60 and XC90 are based on the SPA platform. Meanwhile, the Lynk & Co brand’s CMA Arsenal consists entirely of compacts (01, 02, 03, 05).

Currently, the largest Geely crossover is the Haoyue with a length of 4835 mm and a wheelbase of 2815. Paparazzi say that KX11 is smaller: 4810 and 2805 mm. Since Haoyue has a fellow minivan Jiaji (VF11), we predict the appearance of the” bus ” KF11.

Unofficial spy shots allow you to quickly assess the stern, as well as the interior with a huge touchscreen on the front panel and a “floating” center console.

Under the hood of the newcomer will be placed petrol turbocharger 2.0 (190 HP, 300 Nm) series Drive-E, paired with a seven-band “robot” in front-wheel drive. That is, the KX11 will share the unit with the Xingrui/Preface sedan. In the future, a plug-in hybrid ePro is possible. The new SUV is expected to make its debut at the Shanghai auto show, which opens to the press on April 19.
