UkrAvto intends to form a new Geely dealer network based on its own existing network of auto centers. The agreement provides not only for the sale of machines, but also for their warranty and post-warranty service, as well as the formation of spare parts warehouses and training of specialized personnel.
This is stated in the statement of UkrAvto.
“UkrAvto Corporation is constantly developing, offering its Ukrainian client an even wider range of new mobile solutions and services,” said Vakhtang Vasadze, Deputy Chairman of the Board of UkrAvto. “We enhance the competitiveness and safety of the passenger car market and offer a new alternative to customers who are interested in automotive innovation and a mobility experience that exceeds expectations.”
And here is how Michael Sun, CEO of Geely Automobile International Corporation, commented on Geely’s return to the Ukrainian market:
“We see significant growth potential for the Ukrainian new car market – especially in the SUV segment. We fully rely on the expertise and reputation of UkrAvto, which has a successful long-term experience of cooperation with the world’s leading car manufacturers. Through close collaboration between both parties, we will surely provide consumers in the Ukrainian market with first-class products and services and create a travel experience that exceeds expectations. ”
Let’s add that earlier the AIS group of companies was engaged in the import, distribution and after-sales service of Geely cars in Ukraine. The last official model, if we do not confuse anything, on the Ukrainian market was the restyled Geely Emgrand sedan. It was on sale until 2017.
What Geely models will appear in UkrAvto dealerships in 2022 has not yet been specified. The brand’s global lineup includes sedans, minivans and crossovers. However, only crossovers are currently sold in neighboring Belarus and, and judging by the illustration to the press release of the UkrAvto corporation, one can count on the debut of at least the Atlas Pro crossover.
