General Motors and Ford got scared of the Chinese coronavirus

Automakers have restricted movement of their employees because of the epidemic.

The outbreak of the deadly pneumonia, the primary distribution point which is considered to be wholesale market in the Chinese city of Wuhan, was forced working in China international corporations to reconsider their plans. As reported by Automotive News Europe, the number of companies that refused not having the special importance of visits to the region have included two major U.S. automaker.

Caused by a novel coronavirus, the disease has already killed at least nine people. So General Motors, which in Wuhan has SP (pictured above), released a statement to employees from other places, directing them to visit the epicenter of the disease only in the presence of high business objectives. Thus it is necessary to obtain prior permission of the management. Chinese enterprises “Ford” is located in Chongqing and Nanjing – 900 and 650 kilometers from Wuhan – so at the moment the company simply advised their employees to refrain from visiting the troubled city.
