On the conveyor new from GM and SAIC stood still last week, but in the sale in the auto market of China Baojun RS-3 will appear only next month.
GM and the Chinese SAIC group has presented a new compact crossover Baojun RS-3, production of which has already started. This SUV gets a dimensional grille, and head optics bunk with the original design. But the rear of the car resembles the stern of crossway Baojun RM-5. The new platform borrowed from the best-selling model in China – CD-510 cross Baojun. The dimensions of the RS-3 as follows: length – 4 300 mm, width 1 750 mm, height of 1 625 mm and wheelbase of 2,550 mm.
In the engine range Baojun RS-3 includes a-liter 105-strong “aspirated” and 131-horsepower turbo engine with a working volume of 1.2 liters. The role of the transmission can be 5MKPP or CVT. The drive of choice does not involve only the front.
The first buyers will get the new crossovers in October. Prices for the novelty has not yet been disclosed. According to the forecasts of local experts, Baojun RS-3 will be slightly more expensive Baojun 510, for which the Chinese dealers will have to pay 59,8 thousand yuan ($8 400).
