Last night, Genesis held a YouTube broadcast revealing that the premium Korean brand plans to switch its lineup to electricity by 2030.
So, from the broadcast, it became known that, starting in 2025, all Genesis brand new items will be exclusively electric. Five more years later, there will be eight green models in the lineup. The company plans that annual sales of their electric cars will be at the level of 400,000 units, writes speedme.ru. In addition, the manufacturer promised new technologies in the field of lithium-ion batteries.
Despite the fact that there is still a whole nine years before the transition, the company has already published a teaser with future innovations. No technical details have yet been disclosed. But judging by the picture, the manufacturer plans to release four coupes and sedans, as well as four crossovers. All new items will receive branded two-tier head optics, and some models will have light elements reaching the front doors.
Finally, it was announced that Genesis intends to produce not only classic electric cars, but also cars with hydrogen power plants on fuel cells. As for electric cars, Genesis has already taken the first step in electrification. Most recently, the company unveiled its first electric car, the Genesis GV60.
