Hyundai’s premium sub-brand Genesis will begin selling its vehicles in Europe in the summer of 2021. This was announced at a special event in Frankfurt, according to the press service of the South Korean automaker.
Genesis will specialize in online car sales: at the moment, the brand’s specialists are completing the configuration of all the necessary services, including a model configurator and an electronic platform for concluding deals.
At the same time, the Koreans will also open showrooms in London, Munich and Zurich at the initial stage. At the time of the start of sales, the Genesis line will be represented by the Genesis GV80 crossover and the second generation Genesis G80 sedan, and a little later the compact G70 and GV70 cars will join the model range. Finally, Genesis will bring the Electrified G80 electric sedan to Europe, which premiered at the Shanghai Auto Show in late April.
All vehicles will have a five-year warranty with free service, emergency roadside assistance and software updates that will be downloaded from the cloud.
Genesis celebrated its fifth anniversary last November. At the end of 2015, Hyundai established a separate sub-brand under which it began selling premium vehicles. First, the brand was launched in South Korea, and then the cars reached the USA,, Australia and the Middle East.
