Genesis (Hyundai’s premium brand) has released a teaser for the new Electrified GV70 crossover, an all-electric version of the standard G70 model. The premiere of the car will take place on November 19 at the auto show in Guangzhou, China, reports Motor1.
The novelty will be the third electric car after the small crossover GV60 and the sedan Electrified G80. The latter, as expected, the Electrified GV70 will borrow the power plant. We are talking about two electric motors (one on each of the axles), developing a total of 370 hp. and 700 Nm of torque.
For example, the Genesis Electrified G80 sedan is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds, and a full battery supply is enough to travel up to 500 km without recharging.
It is assumed that the electric crossover will not look significantly different from the standard GV70 model with internal combustion engines. The main differences will be special aerodynamic wheels and a closed radiator grill.
Genesis Electrified GV70 will be the first car of the premium South Korean brand, which will be launched in the United States. The model will enter the assembly line at Hyundai in Alabama in early 2022.
