Genesis showed its first station wagon – G70 Shooting Brake

FineAuto

Only last week, the Genesis brand published teasers of the five-door version of the G70 model, and today it showed the first full-fledged photos of the exterior and interior. It is not yet a premiere in the full sense of the word, but the manufacturer has revealed some details about the car.

The sports station wagon, called the G70 Shooting Brake, has been designed with European customers in mind. And for the same reasons, Genesis chose the name for it, since the corresponding body type “is firmly rooted in the history of European automotive industry and is loved by buyers of premium cars.”

The dimensions of the novelty are 4685x1850x1400 mm, the distance between the axles is 2835 mm. Thus, the size of the G70 Shooting Brake does not differ at all from the sedan, while the company promises an increased cargo space by 40%. The rear seats can be folded 40:20:40.

As far as can be judged from the first images, the interior design of the G70 Shooting Brake completely repeats the four-door, which underwent restyling last fall. Equipped with a similar widescreen infotainment system, which should support software updates “over the air”. The manufacturer did not disclose any additional information, including on the range of engines, but in this respect we can also focus on the sedan.

The G70 Shooting Brake is the same secret model that Genesis announced earlier this month when announcing its entry into the European market. Sales, however, will not start with it: the G80 and GV80 will be available first, then the G70 and GV70 will join them.

Although it is definitely an unfinished replica, I would be interested in contact details, anyway. Maybe this could be an interesting project.
