As reported Carsweek, based on press center of the company, a new type of transmission will be combined only with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine with a capacity of 276 HP and 420 Nm of torque on the model in hatchback and wagon.
The cost of the hatchback starts from 34 710 pounds, and a station wagon – from 36 to 110 pounds.
Focus ST hatchback accelerates to 100 km/h in 6 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds slower version with “mechanics”, and most are accelerated to 250 km/h. Acceleration to first “hundred” at the wagon takes 6.1 seconds, and its maximum speed is similar to the hatchback.
Focus ST with automatic transmission has the same fuel consumption as the version with manual transmission and 8.2 liters per 100 km. Emissions, in turn, increase from 187 to 188 grams per km.
7-speed automatic transmission has a rotary gear selector instead of the usual knob on the steering wheel. As a 6-speed “mechanics”, it has a special Sport button that is used to switch to sport mode. There is also a Mode button allowing drivers to switch to other modes.
