A new Great Wall Artillery pickup was unveiled at the motor show in Chongqing, China last weekend.
Note that the Great Wall Artillery is a variant of the Pao pickup. In this extensive line, there have already been versions with a short two-seater cab (such, for example, supplied in South Africa), but they are farmer-oriented and have a long cargo platform. And the new Great Wall Artillery is the shortest in the range.
Mandatory equipment for the new Great Wall Artillery includes a snorkel, power running boards, metal bumpers, as well as wheel arch extensions and All-Terrain tires. But the main feature of this novelty is the reinforced front suspension with struts of the Chinese company K-Man, which supplies sports teams. There are Eibach springs as well as shock absorbers with external reservoirs. The rear axle at the Great Wall Artillery with springs remains standard, and the declared ground clearance is 249 mm versus 228 mm for the base model.
At the new Great Wall Artillery, the standard 2.0 petrol turbo unit has been boosted with 190 hp. and 360 Nm to 215 hp. and 380 Nm of torque. The transmission has an 8-speed “automatic” ZF and a plug-in four-wheel drive, and in addition, both cross-axle differentials are equipped with forced locks.
The equipment of the new Great Wall Artillery is far from the richest – the only equipment includes fabric upholstery of seats, basic analog instruments and a simple audio unit. Soon, the novelty will appear in the dealerships of the brand in China.
