The Chinese concern Great Wall showed the first official photos of the new development under the ORA sub-brand. As a reminder, this brand was launched in 2018, and only pure electric vehicles are produced under it.
The novelty is called Haomao (translated from Chinese – “cat-lightning”), its zest is the exterior. The car looks like a scaled-down and slightly exaggerated Porsche Panamera of the 970 generation (2009-2016).
The proportions of the body with a sloping roofline, the configuration of windows and door gaps, the rounded nature of the plastic panels, the solution of lighting technology refer to the premium German car.
The body type of Haomao is fastback, and the doors here are made without window frames, in the manner of coupes or hard-tops. The car still has the status of a concept car, it will go into mass production in a slightly simplified form – there will be no huge glass roof panel and video cameras on legs instead of traditional rear-view mirrors.
The interior design is also in the style of Porsche, but there are no direct style quotes, except for the instrument cluster with three wells.
ORA Haomao is an electric vehicle. Technical details will be revealed during the presentation at the Shanghai International Motor Show on April 19.
